Leah Bognanni is a television and film screenwriter, playwright, educator, and social worker. She was born in South Korea, adopted, and raised by Italian Americans near Boston. She has a television show in development with Elevate Entertainment, was a television writing fellow in Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Mentorship Lab, has a master’s degree in Screenwriting and Playwriting from Northwestern University, and another in Clinical Social Work from Boston College. She is currently in the process of starting an organization that focuses on trauma-informed, healing-centered, psychoeducation and creative expression programming .
